Sealine Dunes 1

There are 4 recommended travel agents on the map for Sealine tour. After calling them all, tour price offered is quite standard that Half day trip cost QR200, Full day cost QR300 and Overnight trip cost QR450. But it requires minimum 4 persons to start a trip. So we decided to drive and go on our own and save hundreds of money. Since i were driving with a small 4-wheel drive, we got to give up the sand bashing experience which is offered by the tour agent with more powerful car. But we got a small problem ~ we dont know how to get there! There is only one line on the map showing the way to Sealine and it didnt really tell clearly how and from which city route to connect to the Sealine. So we just drove with our instinct and limited sense of direction.
We were delighted when we saw this car while driving around. We were clever enough to follow them thinking that they might be heading to Sealine too with the Dune Buggy at the back of the car. We were right !

After driving for half an hour, we reach dune motorbiking area. There are many camp along the road where you can rent the buggies. One can ride on the buggy and drive as fast and as crazy as you wish to enjoy the speeding without a license or traffic rules to bother. There are basically 3 types of buggy in offer namely big bike QR150 per hour, medium bike QR100 per hour and small bike QR80 per hour. We wanted to try the bike riding after visiting beach but unfortunately sand storm came in the later afternoon, so we decided just to head back to city before it became too dangerous to drive in the "sand"!




















We climbed up to one the the sand dune to catch a beautiful sight of desert. The weather was good and the view was phenomenal !
